Peanut Butter Bites

Sydney is freezing. Again.

No literally this time its freezing. Like I went out the other day at 10am and it was 7 DEGREES. Come on. At 10 in the morning? Not to mention July has only just started which means winter is here to stay for a long while.

On the bright side check out these easy homemade peanut butter bars made with only 5 ingredients! No baking as well!

Probably the easiest dessert I have ever made. Just get the ingredients, mix, pour into a container and chill. Thats all there is to this. No need to buy 50 million ingredients or heat up your kitchen like a sauna. Isn’t that nice for a change?

I might have already mentioned how much I love peanut butter. I’ve already got Peanut Butter Cookies on this blog and now these bars. I tried this recipe out 2 weeks ago during Eid and they were such a hit. Everyone was asking about them. Which meant of course they were gone way too quickly. The only thing I didn’t really like was that I used granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar hence you could feel sugar in your mouth with every single bite. Next time probably best to melt the sugar first or just buy some powdered sugar. Note to self.

1/2 cup salted butter, melted
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup smooth peanut butter
180 grams semi-sweet chocolate


1. Line a 8 x 8 square baking pan with aluminium foil. Set aside.

2. Mix together melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in the peanut butter. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the prepared pan.

3. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave, checking after every 30 seconds to make sure the chocolate melts evenly. Spread over the peanut butter layer.

4. Place the pan in the fridge for 20 minutes and then use a sharp knife to cut into squares. Chill until completely firm, at least 4-5 hours.
